Gradus InPro 1200 combi-rail comprises an aluminium retainer, replaceable impact-resistant PVC-u cover, PVC-u bracket and complementary PVC-u accessories including returns and corners. The profile is also available with a continuous timber batten to provide an anti-ligature option for environments where the risk of self-harm is present. The PVC-u covers are through-coloured and textured to conceal the effects of impact and abrasion.
The 1200 combi-rail provides a larger surface area than a traditional handrail, and is primarily designed to offer severe duty protection against damage caused by wheeled traffic. The 1200 also incorporates a handrail element with a 38mm diameter and thumb groove for a comfortable grip to provide pedestrian support.
Available in 30 colours, the 1200 combi-rail can be selected in a colour that contrasts with the wall in order to aid visually impaired people and help specifiers meet their duties under the Equality Act 2010 in line with BS8300:2009+A1:2010 and Approved Document M (ADM) of The Building Regulations 2010.
